Title: The Echo Man: A Novel of Suspense (Jessica Balzano and Kevin Byrne)
Author: Richard Montanari
Available from: Amazon (Kindle and print)
I happened to notice this in the “new e-books” listing at the library and decided to check it out. I am so glad I did! I have not read anything else by this author but I will definitely go back and start with #1 of this series.
This one had me going from start to finish. By the time I finished the book, I had gone through about six possibilities for the identity of the killer (all of them wrong). I quit trying to figure out the motive.
This book has everything going for it: plot, setting, characters, and it’s told well.
This book is priced at $4.99, which I feel is right in the ballpark. If I had read the first four books, I would definitely have paid $4.99 for this one.
We are friends at goodreads. A comparison of your bookshelves and mine indicates an 86% similarity of our ratings. Though I have looked at your shelves and consider them a reliable source of potential reads, I had not until today taken a look at your blog. I like it. Anyway, your stated intention to start with Montanari’s first book will pay great dividends. His debut novel, Deviant Way, is tres kinky and is fully equiped with a strong tractor beam that pulls you through the pages to the back cover at a scary speed.
Hi, Dick! Thanks for stopping by my blog, which is usually book reviews but sometimes I insert personal commentary. I’m looking forward to reading more Montanari, as well as your book.
