This is a well-written book and the character of Paolo Storey is well developed. I should have liked it more than I did; it deserved to be liked more. Unfortunately, I found it predictable. By the time I was halfway through the book, I felt like I’d already finished it, so I found it difficult to keep reading. I did keep reading, hoping to be surprised, but finished without experiencing that moment of oh no – I never saw that coming!
I enjoyed the development of Paolo’s character, especially his relationship with his daughter, who is another delightful character in this story.
All in all, an enjoyable read, well written and well told, although predictable.
